Benefits of a Beetle Cleaning:
Beetles are the most effective way to clean a skull.  They are able to remove all meat from the skull both inside and out.  They also do no harm to the bone.  Even the fragile, paper thin nasal bones stay intact.  When a skull is boiled, the bone will chip, meat can be left inside, and the bone will shrink.  This is very important, especially to bear hunters whose trophies are measured on the length of the skull after it has been cleaned.  There is no
shrinkage on a beetle-cleaned skull.
