New York Turkeys and Adirondack Fishing
Great New York State Turkey Season so far at Outback Outfitters. We have had a lot of action and tons of success. Eddie “the bird” Roberts has done a great job out smarting the long beards down in the Catskill Mountains for us. The Adirondack Turkeys were gobbling all over and we scored on a nice 20lb, 9inch beard and 1 1/2 inch spurred monster! The Adirondack Fishing has really kicked off!!! Thanks to some good rain, we have some perfect stream and river fishing levels and the ponds are staying cold. We had a group of 5 doing a semi-guided fishing adventure with us this week and they had a blast catching trout for 3 straight days! Whether spin or fly fishing in New York State, the Adirondack Mountains has an option for you and we can help you enjoy your fishing adventure safely! Outback Outfitters Guiding Service is an all season guiding service that offers a variety of guided /semi-guided hunting and fishing trips in the Adirondacks. Whether it’s fishing the West Canada in a drift boat, rafting down the Hudson for trout or lake fishing the numerous Adirondack lakes for landlocked salmon, trout and large mouth bass or enjoying Outback Lodge while hunting for the “big buck” or bear. Outback Outfitters is offering an outdoor adventure for the beginner as well as the serious sportsperson and their family.
When fishing season opens, Outback Outfitters Guiding Service offers float trips down the Hudson River in a 12′ raft with rowing frame that is equipped for the fisherman to stand up and cast. As the fly fishing season slows, fishing takes off on the lakes, streams and rivers of the Adirondacks. Both fly-fishing and spin fishing are offered for full day and half day trips. Fishing packages include staying at our lodge, using a guide or fishing on your own. Remote fishing excursions are offered in the Adirondacks which can include a fly in or a hike to a mountain lake for lake trout. Instruction is available to all. All the fishing trips are relaxing, include lunch, and are scenic. Many times bald eagles are spotted as well as deer, geese, ducks and an occasional bear.
Guided trips for turkey are now being offered in the Adirondacks. Package deals include Outback Lodge with all it’s accommodations. Coyote, bobcat, fox and snowshoe hare, with hounds, are also hunting possibilities during the winter season in the Adirondacks.
Big game hunts for deer and bear are offered in the Adirondacks at Outback Lodge in the fall. Early Bear Season starts our fall season in September and has been very successful. As the fall progresses, Outback Outfitters offers both early and late muzzle loading hunts. Both guided and semi-guided hunts are also offered during regular rifle season as you hunt for that elusive Adirondack “big buck”. Outback Lodge offers comfortable accommodations while eating delicious homemade meals. Our lodge is your lodge as we encourage you to be as comfortable and welcomes as possible. The lodge is surrounded with 106,000 acres of wilderness where you can walk out the door and begin hunting. These trips promise to be loads of fun, legal and successful enough to have an 85% return rate.
